THRIFT FLIP: New Flour Jar

Okay, this is truly a VERY easy thrift flip and while I sometimes I love a challenge, I also like things to be easy sometimes.

I found this guy at Goodwill for $5 and immediately scooped him up and cradled him in my arms around the store like I was holding a baby and then brought him home.

Anyone who wants to organize their pantry knows that jars are EXPENSIVE so this was a steal.

See that little scratch in the second “a” of “Pasta”? I was able to easily scratch off a bit of the ink with my fingernail, which meant I knew I could remove all of it with some nail polish remover. So, I grabbed my bottle of 100% acetone, some cotton rounds and literally wiped off the ink in 10 seconds.

See, I’m not going to use it for pasta. (I eat a lot of pasta, but not that much.) I needed this jar to keep my flour in, since the jar I’m currently using is a bit… petite.

Can you see the jar back there? Yeah, neither can I. But it’s there, I swear.

My goal is to have a jar big enough to get a whole bag of flour in, or close to it. So, this “pasta" jar was sending me very hopeful vibes.

And those hopeful vibes turned out to be a very positive reality!

Not bad! It doesn’t hold the entire bag of flour, but that’s okay! For $5? I’ll take it!
